I've received a recall notice. What does a "recall" mean?

Answer

A recall indicates that another borrower has requested the item, and, as a result we are asking for it back earlier, or you are unable to renew it. A recalled item may generate an earlier due date. A textbook is highly likely to be recalled.

Please return recalled items promptly for others to use, or, immediately contact us if there is a problem; late returns will attract fines of $3 per day.

Check your MyLibrary account regularly for high demand items that may be recalled. If you are going away, return all Library books before you go or arrange for someone to return a recalled item on your behalf.
