I get an error message - “Clarivate Analytics EndNote 21 Massey.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software – when I try to install EndNote21 on my Mac – What do I do next?
Answer
To bypass this error message press control+click (or cmd+click) on the EndNote installer icon.
Choose Open from the menu that appears.
The EndNote software will now install.
Alternatively, you can try:
Click on the Apple Icon (top left) > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab > Make sure that ‘App Store and identified developers’ is ticked > Open Anyway
If you get the same error message, click Open
Click on the Installer icon at the bottom or go to Downloads again and click on EndNote21.pkg again
