Is there a quick way to edit text in multiple EndNote records?

Answer

You can modify or replace text in multiple records in two ways:

For EndNote 20/21:

To replace existing text:
In EndNote, go to the Library menu and select Find and Replace... Enter the text you wish to replace in the top box, and the new text in the bottom box.

Select the relevant field to search and checkbox options.

To add, modify or move text:
In EndNote, go to the Library menu and select Change/Move/Copy Fields... Enter the desired options.

For EndNote X9 and earlier versions:

To replace existing text:
In EndNote, go to the Edit menu and select Find and Replace... Enter the text you wish to replace in the top box, and the new text in the bottom box.

Select the relevant field to search and checkbox options.

To add, modify or move text:
In EndNote, go to the Tools menu and select Change/Move/Copy Fields... Enter the desired options.
