Removing or Moving Citations
It is very important that EndNote citations are not deleted, moved or edited using Word. This is to minimise the chance or of corrupting your document or library. Instructions for safely editing citations for Word 2016/2013/2010/2007 and Word 2011 (Mac) versions are in the EndNote Guide.
Editing Citations
To modify an EndNote citation (say to delete it, or add a page number), click on it and select Edit Citation from the EndNote tab/toolbar in Word.
Tip - Field Shading
It is useful to activate the field shading in Word to make the EndNote text easier to see and so to avoid accidently editing or deleting it.
